Carriger Barn

The Carriger barn is one part of a multi part project in Sonoma California. The project is located on an eight acre parcel and includes a new ADU, a lap pool and a new recreation room in a rebuilt 1850's barn. We dismantled the original barn structure and stored to lumber and corrugated metal roof panels for reuse. The new barn is built on top of a stone veneered base, set in the hillside which houses a wine cellar, pantry, utility rooms and a garage. The exterior of the barn is sheathed in the original rustic barn siding and roofed with the original corrugated metal roof. It features a comfortable deck facing the valley and a "barn hill" with steps up to the main entry from the lap pool. The entry side of the barn has a full height glass wall with large glass doors at ground level. The interior walls are finished with reclaimed barnwood and the ceiling is reclaimed corrugated metal to match the roof. Rustic wood floors complete the fell of an old barn.
